LOUIS XVI (1754-93); NAPOLEON III (1808-73) & OTHER EUROPEAN ROYALTY AND STATESMEN A manuscript document from Louis XVI signed ("Louis-quatre-vingt"), one page, folio, ordering his Treasurer to pay the Queen's [Marie Antoinette's] surgeon 150 livres [n.p.], 1791. Autograph letter signed ("Napoleon Louis"), one page, 8vo, 9 February 1838, thanking an officer for sending a horse. With a collection of autograph material including a document signed by Marie Antoinette's former Mistress of the Robes, Madam Genet Campan (1808), autograph note signed from Madam du Barry [mistress of Louis XV], letter signed by Cardinal Mazarin to Monsieur de Turenne (1652), letter signed by Henry III of France to Monsier Alfronse (1589), autograph notes from Pauline Bonaparte and from Princess Mathilde, letter signed by Marie Theresa, Queen of Austria, to Duke Ernest Ludwig of Saxony, commiserating on the death of his son (1779), land deed signed by Rudolf II (1594), letter signed by Frederick II of Prussia to Lieut. von Fouque, hoping for further news (1751), document signed by Frederick William III and an autograph letter from Victor Emmanuel of Italy, to the President, returning a decree, all contained in a folio vellum album.
