LUGAR, ROBERT. Plans and Views of Ornamental Domestic Buildings, executed in the Castellated and Other Styles...Second Edition. London: M. Taylor 1836 [one plate watermarked 1838]. Folio, 380 x 280mm. (15 x 11in.), original cloth, rebacked with original gilt-lettered backstrip laid down, a few text leaves dampstained at fore-margins, some other edges darkened, marginal tear to plate 8. Second Edition, 32 pp. letterpress and 32 plates: 16 of them line engravings and 16 aquatints, the aquatints comprising 12 with full hand color and 4 hand-colored above uncolored plans; 8 of the plates engraved by Dubourg, the rest unsigned; 8-page publisher's catalogue bound at end. Cf. Abbey Life 31 (the 1811 first edition with the plates in sepia, noting a half-title which is probably not required in the second edition).
