LURIA, Isaac (1534-1572). Mevo She'arim (and two other treatises of Lurianic Kabbalah). MANUSCRIPT ON PAPER [Eastern Europe, 17th-18th century] 4 o (195 x 160 mm). [1 blank] + [1] + 175 + 20 + 57 leaves, with various original Hebrew and modern lead pencil foliations. Brown ink. Ashkenazic semi-cursive script. Probably by the same scribe who copied Neubauer nos. 58, 65, 75, 77, 100 and 103 (lots 141, 146, 134, 137, 110 and 140). With printed architectural borders in the style of the plates used by the Amsterdam printer Joseph Athias, cut out and pasted onto the paper to decorate each of the four title-pages (see contents list). (Last section with marginal repairs and strengthening, marginal notes folded inside before the book was trimmed by an earlier binder, still relatively wide margins, some browning and staining, otherwise good condition.) Modern blind and gold-tooled black morocco, two modern paper flyleaves at back and front, old sprinkled edges. CONTENTS: Fols. [1]rv: blank. I. Fol. 1r: title Mevo She'arim . Fol. 1v: blank.
