Beschreibung:

Built off a large ring Mauser style action with no visible maker markings (added scope blocks may be obscuring maker marks), visible Austrian proofs including "1528-52", eagle, and NPF proof. Barrel shank proofed with same 1528-52 mark, NPF proof and caliber designation of 270 and 6835. Action is engraved in an acorn and oak leaf band pattern, with butter knife bolt handle engraved to match. Barreled shank is lightly engraved with bands where it matches up with action. Underside of steel magazine engraved with oak leaves and a stag in a forest scene. Rifle built with flag safe and double set triggers. Trigger guard engraved with further oak leaves and a silhouette of a chamois. Top of barrel marked "MAHRHOLDT-PETERLONGO-INNSBRUCK-TYROL" for the Austrian maker. Plain rear sight on island screwed to barrel, with 2 leaf V-notch rear sight, one folding and one standing. The ramped brass front sight is on a barrel band with stippling. Left handed honey colored European walnut stock with Schnabel tipped forearm and checkered panels is with a black capped pistol grip. The buttstock Bavarian cheekpiece with carved scene of acorns and oak leaves is finished by a horn checkered butt plate. Toe line with silver oval inset plaque engraved with "ET". Sling studs on toe and sweated onto underside of barrel. Rifle fit with quick detachable swing mounts and mounted with a Weaver K4 60-B scope. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel has been reblued and retains virtually all of that rebluing with some extremely minor marks. Action and magazine plate in-the-white with a few spots of oil staining that do not detract. Trigger guard reblued, probably at the same tame the barrel was renewed. Stock is good with crisp carving and a few minor marks around plaque. Stock also with wood separation under bolt release. Horn buttplate with some slight damage (possibly from insects). Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling. Inoperable checkered slide safe.
