Manufacturer: Disney Animation Cell Description: Walt Disney Studios original animation color celluloid from the 1938 production of “Ferdinand The Bull”. The cell displays the portraiture of the cheerful and good natured bull peering from a floral wreath and arranged over a suitable pompadour red backdrop, as bulls seem to like the color red. On the original mat is hand written the title “From the Story of Ferdinand” in pencil, left corner. The mat opening measures 9 1/4 inches by 10 1/2 inches. Period 17 inch by 19 1/4 inch frame having the San Francisco Courvoisier Gallery label on the back and stating a select few sold, the remainder destroyed. Also the sticker from Closson’s, a Cincinnati based art gallery. With the exception a few faint stains on Ferdinand and the typical wave and slight shrinkage of the cell this caption is in very good condition.
