Title: Manuscript order commanding Cromwell Carson to assume the post of Master of the His Majesty's Yacht William and Mary Author: Duckworth, Sir John Thomas Place: Plymouth Publisher: Date: June 25 1806 Description: 23 lines, in ink, on sheet headed "Sir John Thomas Duckworth Bart. K.G. C.B. Admiral of the White and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels at Plymouth." Signed J.T. Duckworth. 12x8. "His Majesty's Yacht William and Mary having been recommissioned and Captain Sproule having represented to me that as she is not allowed any other officer than a Master, who has not yet been appointed to her, the services of one are much required on board her. You are hereby required and directed to repair forthwith on board the William and Mary, and, taking upon the charge of Master of her..." Carson had previously served in the same capacity.
