MARCELLO DE ROTIS. Libro delle cose più notabili spettanti àme MANUSCRIPT ON PAPER Rome 1611-1737 153 x 105mm. 84 pages, plus blanks, written in brown ink (some browning). CONTEMPORARY GOLD-TOOLED CALF, upper cover with medallion of Christ on the cross, lower cover with medallion of the Madonna and child, both within border of roll-tooled fish with putti corner-tools (hinges broken, lacking ties, spine torn with some loss). Diary and record-book of Marcello de Rotis and his family starting with his account of the events in Rome in 1611 and ending with notice of the death on 17 March 1737 of Maria de Rotis, the last of the family, and her burial in S. Pietro in Montorio.
