(Variable light spotting and browning, small hole affecting text on S10.) Contemporary citron morocco, triple gilt fillet border on covers surrounding the ARMS OF MARIE-ANTOINETTE as Queen of France [Olivier 2508 ( fer 4, medium size, 57 x 45mm)], gilt spine compartments with floral tools, gilt turn-ins, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed, skilful repairs to corners and head and tail of spine), modern box. Provenance : Marie-Antoinette (binding); Mary Anna Marten (bookplate). Officium parvum B. Mariæ Virginis, ad usum ordinis Cisterciensis . Paris: Michael Lambert, 1771. 12° (129 x 81mm).
