Sample "girly" calendar sheets, plus a Playboy calendar, and more. Wall calendar for 1956, advertising for Oakland Steel Treating Co., Detroit, MI. Overall 16 x 33 in.; artwork at top approx. 16 x 20 in., titled "Bewitching" depicting nude with fan and roses. Slight scuffing along edges as if rolled at some point. still has metal strips top and bottom. Calendar, 1955. "Golden Dreams, Posed by Marilyn Monroe " Advertising for George's Food Products, Detroit, MI. 10 x 16 in. Wall calendar, with only the leaf for Jan. 1960 remaining. Illustration from painting by Arthur E. Frahm, "Spare," with young woman loosing her underwear while bowling. Advertising for General Machine Products, Milwaukee, WI. 16 x 33 in. Playboy Playmate calendar for 1960. "Miss January" is Jayne Mansfield. 10 x 19 in. with spiral binding at top. Advertising for Anderson & Son, (men's wear) Columbus, [OH]. Sample calendar with four sheets held at top by metal strip, three months on each page. "Your Advertisement Here / in Three or Four Lines Will Make Friends All The Year." 9.75 x 17 in. ("The Temptress," "Bare Facts," "Sultry Charm, and "Fair and Warmer.") Second sample is similar, but a larger single sheet with one large sketch (a dog walker loosing her underwear), plus 10 smaller sketches around it. One calendar sheet for May 1958, and, again, the message "Your Imprint Here Will Make Friends For You All Year." 16 x 33 in. Torn from another with fragments at top. 13 x 18 in. envelope with George Washington Hangars sample calendar sheets and artwork. "Portfolio No. 3" with prices for 16 x 33 sheets for 1959. Eight 8 x 10 in. prints that could be added to a calendar; sample 16 x 33 in. sheet with Jan. 1959 calendar page; another 16 x 33 in. page with no calendar, only artwork; 11 x 23 in., "George Washington Hangers / The Ideal Advertising Medium/ Make New customers - Hold Old Ones..."; 11 x 23.5 in. sample with Jan. 1957 calendar sheet; second sample with different illustration and Jan. 1957 sheet; George Washington Hangers ad with Jan. 1960 sheet, 11 x 23 in. - 2 different; and 12 x 16 in. illustration with "Your Advertisement Here..." at top. Condition: Several with some surface soil and toning on backs. A few torn from a ring-bound group. Overall color very good.
