Marlene Dietrich A collection of approximately 12 contracts, 1960s, the majority signed by Dietrich, including: - a sixteen-page mimeographed typescript contract for the role of Mrs Berthold in the 1961 M.G.M. film Judgement At Nuremburg , the contract between Roxlom Films and Dietrich dated 5 December, 1960 setting out the terms and conditions for the role, including compensation of $75,000.00 payable in four weekly installments... and additional compensation of $18,750.00 dollars for each full week of excess, should filming exceed four consecutive weeks, initialled by Dietrich on five pages and signed by her in blue ballpoint pen on the last page; - two MCA Artists Ltd printed contracts, completed with typescript details, one dated 10 February, 1961, for a run of performances at the Tropicoro Room, El San Juan Hotel, Puerto Rico, 20 March for a period of seven days, with one show nightly, two shows Saturday commencing on March 20th, 1961 for $15,000 dollars, signed by Dietrich in blue ballpoint pen, the other dated 20 April, 1961, for a performance at the Concord Hotel, Kiamesha Lake, New York on August 5, 1961 for a payment of 7500.00 dollars, signed by Dietrich in blue ballpoint pen as Dietrich-Sieber ; both accompanied by a carbon copy of a rider to the agreement detailing equipment and musicians to be supplied, Dietrich's billing status, accomodation and staffing, both signed in blue ballpoint pen by Dietrich, 1p.; - a carbon copy of a letter from Dietrich to MCA Artists, dated 8 June, 1962, the letter setting out an agreement to release Dietrich from her management contract with MCA, signed in blue ballpoint pen by Dietrich and counter-signed by a representative of MCA, 2pp.; and another typescript letter on MCA Artists headed stationery, dated 8 June, 1962, the letter confirming the termination of various management contracts, signed in blue ballpoint pen by Dietrich, 1p.; - a carbon copy of an agreement dated 9 January, 1961, between Marlene Dietrich Inc. and Richard Earle, Stanton Shifman and Nirene Productions for an appearance at the Colonial Theatre, Boston, 16 - 28 January, 1961, signed on the last page in blue ballpoint pen by Dietrich, 3pp.; - a mimeographed typescript agreement dated 4 October, 1960, between Dietrich and Syria Temple, for a run of performances at Syria Mosque, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 28 November - 1 December, 1960, signed in blue ballpoint pen by Dietrich, 2pp.; and related material; accompanied by a document confirming the provenance (a lot)
