Autograph letter signed ('Karl Marx') to Collet Dobson Collet ('My dear Sir'), 41 Maitland Park Road, London, 1 October 1879, in English, 'On my return from the seaside I found your letter ... You will much oblige me by being so kind as to forward me some of the copies of the Revelations , as I have none left', half page, 8vo (181 x 114mm) (some creasing and minor wear to left margin).

In Revelations of the Diplomatic History of the 18th Century Marx attempted to 'reveal the continuous secret collaboration between the Cabinets of London and St Petersburg', by means of documents he had examined at British Museum in the collection of William Coxe; the work was published in parts in the Free Press and not reprinted in Marx's lifetime.
