Beschreibung:

Offered for sale by Uri Geller The straw filled bear with orange glass eyes, elongated snout with black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head and jointed at shoulders and hips, hump to back, long arms and large feet with paw pads lined in felt, button to left ear, working growler, (pads re-covered, some repair to ankles and upper arms), Uri Geller, who is best-known for television performances of spoon-bending, has had a life-long love of Teddy bears, starting when aged six months a teddy bear saved his life. He was sleeping in a pram in his home city, Tel Aviv, when a soldier fired a bullet through the window. The Teddy bear shielded Uri from the broken glass. He was particularly drawn to Matzco with his war time provenance. During the Second World War, a family who lodged Russian officers accommodated a young officer called Paul, who during his stay, became friendly with the family's daughter and gave her this Teddy bear. Paul had saved the bear when his colleagues had been threatening to use it as a target practise before going to the front. Matzco will be sold wearing a necklace designed by Uri and the buyer will be invited to the star's home. 117cm (46in) tall.
