Implacable), engraved naming; Khedive’s Star 1882, the second and third with heavy contact marks and edge bruising, thus fine, the other two very fine and better (4) £400-500 Footnote John Williams was born at St. German’s, Cornwall and entered the Royal Navy in September 1848. He subsequently witnessed active service aboard H.M.S. Duncan during the Fenian troubles in Canada in 1866, and again when aboard the Thalia during the Egypt operations of 1882. Awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in December 1876, he was pensioned ashore in May 1895.
