The finely detailed plates by Starckman show shorelines which include Cadiz, Gibraltar, Cartagena, Alicante, Palma Majorca, Barcelona, Cette, Marseille, Bandol, Toulon, Antibes, Porto Vecchio Corsica, Livorno, Naples and Palermo. Hofmann Mich [2B]. Oblong quarto (215 x 280mm). All engraved with title and 37 charts by P. Starckman (erasure marks to blank central area of title, plan of Palma lightly browned, one or two short marginal tears). Contemporary green vellum with small red morocco label, red edges (extremities rubbed, old marks).
