MIRABILIA ROMAE -- Historia et descriptio urbis Romae [German:] In dem buechlein steet geschriben wie Rom gepauet wart . Rome: Stephan Plannck, [before 27 August] 1500. Chancery 8° (135x90mm). Collation: A-G 8 H 4 (A1 blank, A2 contents). 57 (of 60, lacking first blank; H1.4 in facsimile) leaves. 23 lines, gothic letter, woodcut armorial headpiece on a4, 8 full-page woodcut illustrations. (Lower blank outer corners in quire A repaired.) 17th-century vellum, edges painted in blue and red (traces of ties lacking). Provenance : Prince Liechtenstein (bookplate); Eric Sexton (booklabel), sold at Christie's New York 8 April 1981 (lot 146). The third Plannck edition in German, first published 1488, of this guide for pilgrims to Rome. H *11215; BMC IV, 100; Goff M-612; Sander 4556; IGI 6470; RARE, only two copies in America
