Lot of 6. 2 commercially printed CDVs of Abraham Lincoln, one uncredited (very fine condition overall), the other published by J. Hall Brooklyn, NY, with sketch of Lincoln's life printed on verso (clipped corners, some light soiling on print and mount, few spots). Post-Civil War CDV of an Army officer, verso credit to Buehman, Tucson, Arizona Territory (bottom edge trimmed, top corners rounded, some surface soiling). Tentatively identified in pencil on verso as Tilson Barden, although this cannot be confirmed. Barden (b. 1834) served with the Michigan Volunteers from May 1861-February 1863 and mustered out in June 1864 as a result of wounds received. He then served as private with the 5th NY Heavy Artillery from September 1861-June 1865, followed up by served as 1st lieutenant with the 117th US Colored Troops and captain. From September 1867-1869 he served as 2nd lieutenant with the 9th US Cavalry and was Judge-Advocate of Military Commissions for the State of Texas during Reconstruction. CDV of Castle Rock in Dakota County, Minnesota, credited to B.F. Upton, June 1865, with period penciled inscription describing Castle Rock in detail. 2 cent revenue stamp on verso. (Top edge trimmed, image has lightened, some foxing on print, mount.) Silver gelatin photograph of a baseball game, 4 x 5 in., on 6 x 7 in. mount, no studio imprint. Ca 1910.
