Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection 1928 Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection 1928 Lots 65-67: Disgorged February 2013. Individual wooden coffret packed within a carton. The House' s 26th vintage is a beautifully mature Champagne of astounding vibrancy and allure. Climatic conditions throughout the growing season, including several hailstorms and a late frost followed by a warm summer, resulted in a relatively small yield of exceptional quality. The sunny weather prevailing in late September was ideal for harvesting. Of a golden yellow colour, the bouquet is redolent of candied apricot, peach, Mirabelle plums and dried figs, along with warm nuances of brioche, creme brulee, vanilla and a refined note of rancio. On the palate, the bead is extremely fine yet astonishingly lively. The structure is streamlined and pure, conveying notes of lemon and ginger with a hint of sous-bois, and the finish is wonderfully long and rich. Grand Vintage Collection 1928 displays both the finesse of age and a vivacious freshness. (Moet & Chandon) Lot 65 ♦ 1 bt Lot 66 ♦ 1 bt Lot 67 ♦ 1 bt per lot: GBP 1800-2400 per lot: USD 2800-3800 per lot: EUR 2000-2800 LYING IN OCTAVIAN, WILTSHIRE Offered In Bond, available duty paid These items are in bond.
