Harrison Schmitt or Eugene Cernan Moonscape at the Shorty Crater, Station 4, EVA 2 Apollo 17, 12-13 December 1972 Vintage chromogenic print on fibre-based Kodak paper, 25.3 x 20.5 cm (10 x 8 in), RED NUMBERED NASA AS17-137-21017, with A KODAK PAPER watermarks on the verso Footnotes: At Station 4, on the south rim crest of Shorty Crater, the astronauts made traverse gravimeter and electrical properties measurements; gathered samples, including a trench sample and a double-length core tube sample; and performed documentary and panoramic photography. This stop was made to investigate the possibility that this crater was actually a volcanic structure. The famous "orange soil" was discovered at this site.
