MORELLI, Francesco, Pietro RUGA and others (engravers). Raccolta di XXXX vedute antiche e moderne della citta di Roma e sue vicinanze. Rome: stamperia de Romanis, 1821. Large oblong 2° (515 x 710mm). Parallel text in French and Italian. Engraved title and 40 plates by Francesco Morelli Pietro Ruga Giovanni Aquaroni, Francesco and Paolo Barbazza, Vincenzo Feoli Domenico Pronti and Pietro Parboni captions in Italian and French. Contemporary paper wrappers, backstrip reinforced with marbled paper, modern paper portfolio, titled on upper cover. A fine series of rare 18th-century views of Rome, reissued in 1821. These large format plates appeared to have been first issued under the title Raccolta di 34 vedute , published by Salvioni around 1800.
