Contemporary half calf gilt, spine with red morocco lettering-piece (rubbed and scuffed). Provenance : AUTHOR'S COPY, SIGNED "J. MORIER" ON TITLE (cropped); monogram of Clive Coates on front pastedown; later inscriptions on front free endpaper: "Morier's own copy." FIRST EDITION.
