Beschreibung:

Very attractive original Swedish K machine gun as imported by Class Three Supply Company of Nashville, TN and so import marked on right side of receiver forward of the magazine well. On opposite side of receiver is hand stamped, “M45 9MM K.G. SWEDEN” Swedish crown proof on top of barrel which is serial number 335237. Crown over “C” proof on top of receiver above serial number. No magazine present. This is a very popular and desirable model of machine gun. This specimen was manufactured with the detachable magazine housing which enables this gun to use either the standard 36 round magazines or the coffin magazines. Full-auto only operation with slotted receiver tube cut-out for bolt to be held to the rear as on the MP-40, folding wire-loop shoulder brace much like the Madsen, and charging handle which doubles as a forward bolt lock in the manner of the Austen and others. A real cornucopia of similarities to other earlier machine gun designs. Electronic NFA registry indicates “IMPORTED NFA FIREARM” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent smooth grey-green arsenal refinish applied over some light pitting near rear of receiver tube. Wood grips extremely fine with light handling marks. Black rubber cheek protector on shoulder loop extremely fine. Bore is extremely fine with firing residue in the grooves. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. The Swedish M/45 (Swedish K) was the standard submachine gun for Sweden from 1945 to 1965, and it is much admired and sought after as a recreational machine gun here in the United States. This model saw service in Vietnam, and some specimen found their way to the United States in the hands of returning American Servicemen. Specimens seldom surface for sale and when they do they are usually part of an estate situation, or when the owner has another specimen they are keeping. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR TRANSFER TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS AS A PRE-86 DEALER SAMPLE. Pre-86 dealer sample machine guns may be retained privately by sole proprietor FFL/SOT dealer after they relinquish their licenses, with BATF approval. This makes this a very attractive opportunity for the Class 3 dealer who wants this model of machine gun.
