Beschreibung:

Outstanding specimen of the Maremont M60E3 machine gun as the improved and lightened model of the M60 which was fielded in 1986. It was nominally fielded with a lightweight barrel intended to provide greater mobility as well as with a standard heavier barrel for when sustained fire was desired. This specimen is actually a Maremont M-60 with an E3 kit installed onto it. Top of receiver is marked, “MACHINE GUN / 7.62 MM M60 / NEW ENGLAND GROUP / MAREMONT CORP. / U.S.” For the would-be purchaser of this model, it needs no introduction. It is a "must have" for the late 20th Century U.S. Machine Gun collector/enthusiast. Electronic registry indicates simply “US” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some very slight loss of finish in the feedway of the feed tray and the track of the feed arm, with a slight loss of finish at a couple points where the top cover meets the receiver. Composite parts finish near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. A fabulous firearm for the modern U.S. Military collector/enthusiast. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
