Beschreibung:

Drawing clear inspiration from both the German MP-40 and the Soviet PPS-43 machine guns, the Yugoslavian M56 was inexpensive to produce and saw use in many conflicts following the dissolution of Yugoslavia. This example was registered by Fleming Firearms and is stamped with the Yugoslavian coat of arms over "M56" and the serial number on the top of the receiver, with other exterior components bearing the usual Yugoslavian assembly numbers. Features include a blue finish, 10" barrel, MP-40 style front sight, flip-up rear sights with graduations from 100-200 meters, 2-piece serrated black plastic grips, as well as a black plastic lower assembly. This example is accompanied by four additional 35-round magazines, a strichtarn pattern magazine pouch, as well as a period leather sling. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting scattered handling marks overall from handling and storage. Bright bore, exhibiting some spots of cleaned oxidation but otherwise retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Black plastic furniture shows some scattered handling marks overall but is otherwise fine. A nice example of a post-War produced Yugoslavian M59 submachine gun chambered for the 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge that is rarely encountered as a fully transferable NFA firearm. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. MLW Name Value Accessories 4 spare magazines, magazine pouch Barrel Length 10" Caliber/Bore 7.62x25mm Tokarev FFL Status NFA Manufacturer Fleming Firearms Model M56 Paperwork Sear Serial Number Serial Number A12996B
