Beschreibung:

Ozark Mountain Arsenal registered sideplate Model 1917A1 Browning water-cooled machine gun currently set up in .308 with spacers, and .308 barrel. Bolt is marked “7.62” but will work just fine with 8mm and .30-06 as well. There is an 8mm barrel and 8mm spacer within a canvas carrier included with this lot as well as a .30-06 barrel, also in a canvas barrel carrier. Additional accessories include a steam condensing hose, steel water can, 4 250-round cloth belts, 1 wood, and 1 steel ammo can, canvas gun cover, and Colt commercial tripod with ammo box adapter to take standard modern G.I. .308 ammo cans. Gun is marked on right sideplate “U.S. M1917A1 . CAL .30 BMG / No. OMA30B02 / OZARK MT ARSENAL ATLANTA IN”. Trunnion is bronze. Handgrip is steel with wood grip panels. Flip safety switch at trigger and muzzle attachment indicates this was a Colt commercial parts kit built onto this sideplate. Colt commercial tripod retains its attractive identification plate. Electronic NFA registry indicates “US” as the manufacturer. Incoming Form 4 indicates “Ozark Mountain Arsenal” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent grey parkerized refinish upon remanufacture with attractive bronze endcap and trunnion. Water fill and drain caps present and very attractive. Tripod presents extremely well and has had steel parts blued with a matte finish with paint right at the contact points with the ground, leaving the bronze portions exposed. Bores of all 3 barrels are extremely fine, shiny, and bright. This gun may well be unfired since remanufacture. No indication of a belt having crossed the trunnion. Mechanics are crisp. The Browning water-cooled machine gun is very distinctive and especially popular on the range. This specimen, in three calibers, and with the adapter to take standard .30 ammo cans make it a very desirable specimen indeed. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
