(N) VALMET / ODIN INTERNATIONAL M78 LIGHT MACHINE GUN (FULLY TRANSFERABLE).

M78 manufactured by Valmet and imported by Odin International. This M78 was subsequently converted into a machine gun by SAS of Baytown, Texas. Left side of receiver bears the serial number as well as the manufacturer information, model designation, and caliber designation. Right side bears the Odin International LTD. import stamp, with the bottom of the receiver being marked "SAS BTN, TX" forward of the magazine well. Features include a parkerized finish, 24" barrel, chrome lined bore, 3-prong flash hider, blade front sight, square notch adjustable rear sight, bipod, ventilated solid wood forend, checkered black polymer pistol grip, as well as a solid wood club foot buttstock. Gas tube matches the receiver via an electro-penciled inscription. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J.R. Moody. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory applied parkerized finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks overall from handling and storage. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Solid wood furniture shows few minor marks from handling and storage overall. A fine example of a desirable Valmet M78 machine gun.
