Sheets of various sizes mounted on large album leaves (730 x 470 mm), 5 parts published together: Dix grandes Tables, contenantes les pourtraictz des ceremonies, honneurs et pompe funebres, faitz au Corps de feu Serenissime Prince Charles 3 du Nom . Large allegorical and pictorial title-plate (2 etchings joined), 10 large plates consisting of 2 prints each (mixed etching and engraving), pl. 9 four sheets, some with letterpress, 16 separate sheets of letterpress. (2 plates slightly cut into, text on 2 sheets cut close, some staining.) - Pourtraict du convoy fait en pompe funebre à Nancy Capitale de Lorraine, au transport du corps Ledit convoy figuré en 48. tables . One sheet of letterpress with instructions on the choice of joining the plates to form a continuous roll, of mounting them as a huge wall picture, of binding them in codex form or leaving them loose in sheets; 48 etchings joined in rows of three or two. (Stained in places, a few small tears and creases.) -- L'ordre tenu au marcher, parmy la ville de Nancy capitale de Loraine, à lentree en icelle du serenissime Prince Henry II e du nom . 12 etchings for joining as a continuous frieze. (A few shaved, little staining.) -- Comme son Altesse de Lorraine Monseigneur le Duc Henry second du Nom, va a l'Eglise . 4 etchings for joining as a frieze.-- La Ville de Nancy Capitalle de Lorraine pourtraicte au vif comme elle est ceste annee 1611 . 4 etchings joined to form a large bird's-eye plan (copperplate 710 x 900 mm). (Some creases and stains.) Loose in a cloth portfolio. Provenance: Baron Horace de Landau; Librairie Georges Heilbrun (sold to Gourary 1953). COMPLETE SET OF THE GREATEST RARITY. Claude de La Ruelle was the producer both of the events and of the publication, co-ordinating his own conceptions with the work of JEAN DE LA HIÈRE (designer), FRÉDÉRIC BRENTEL AND MATTHÄUS MERIAN the elder (etchers/engravers), and the letterpress and plate printers.
