Engraved document signed ("Napole," with large flourish) as First Consul, Trianon, 13 March 1803. Oblong, 435 x 560mm. (17 x 22¾ in.), ON FINE PARCHMENT, accomplished in manuscript, printed heading ("Napolon par la Grace de Dieu, Empereur des Français..." etc.) Letters patent allowing one Girodin, a mounted Chasseur of the 2nd Regiment, to serve under the King of the Two Sicilies. -- MARIE-LOUISE, Empress of the French (1791-1847). Engraved document signed ("Marie Louise"), as Empress, signing for the Emperor, St. Claude, 9 October 1813. Oblong, 435 x 560mm. (17 1/8 x 22 3/8 in), ON FINE PARCHMENT, accomplished in manuscript. Naturalization papers granting citizenship to Abraham Barochius, a "medecin á Mannheim." The two documents bound together with engraved portraits in full crimson morocco gilt .
