Elle représente trois jeunes femmes assises en tailleur au sol : l’une jouant d’un instrument à cordes, les deux autres l’écoutant. La personne à droite semble esquisser un regard vers le spectateur, l’invitant ainsi à prendre part à cette réunion musicale et donnant vie à la composition. Les couleurs sont sombres et donnent une certaine intensité au moment. L’artiste rend avec finesse les détails, notamment les courbes de l’instrument, les yeux et coiffures des protagonistes. NGUYỄN VĂN THỊNH Nguyen Van Thinh est né en 1906. En 1928, il intègre l’École des Beaux-Arts de Hanoï, fondée en 1924 par Victor Tardieu et Nam Son. Ses camarades sont entre autres Nguyen Gia Tri, Nguyen Tuong Lan et Nguyen Cat Tuong. En 1935, il est diplômé major de sa promotion. C’est dans cette institution qu’il acquiert de précieuses connaissances et techniques artistiques. Sa discipline de prédilection est la peinture, notamment sur soie dans laquelle il excelle. On ressent très fortement dans son travail sur soie l’influence de ses ainés comme To Ngoc Van et Nguyen Phan Chanh. En 1935, un Salon est organisé par la Société annamite d’encouragement à l’art et à l’industrie dont le rôle est de promouvoir le développement de l’art appliqué à l’industrie. Nguyen Van Thinh présente à cette occasion certaines de ses œuvres. Nguyễn Văn Thịnh là một họa sĩ Việt Nam sinh năm 1906.
