A handsome vessel constructed from shaped sheet metal with seamed joints having a domed lid with original wooden knob; original wooden painted handle. Decorated with rolled horizontal reeding, engraved bands, beading, and engraved shields; 10.5" overall height x 5.62" diameter (at base). See Pewter Collectors Club of America, 1984: 55 for a stylistically identical example. Condition: Polished, very minor wear. Interior repair probably during manufacturing.
