The sheets with approximately 42 photographs in various sizes (largest 7 x 9 inches) mounted to the recto and verso, many with captions below in ink. Some minor edgewear and toning, fine overall. A fine series of rare late 19th-century images of the Swan Island Club including views on the water, shooting from the swan boats, several views of sailboats, African Americans on the docks, a post-surgery photograph of an individual after his operation by a Dr. Richardson, other portraits and views from around the club.
