number LXXXVI of 115 copies signed by the artist but lacking the additional suite of plates, from an edition limited to 315, 10 copper-engraved plates and illustrations by David Jones 1964 [with] Jones (David) An Introduction to the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, number CII of 115 copies signed by the author, from an edition limited to 330, engraved title-vignette by Jones, 1972, together 2 vol., both inscribed by David Jones in Welsh, printed in ochre and black on grey paper, the second with prospectus and original invoice from Douglas Cleverdon loosely inserted ("one of about half a dozen copies [with inscription] in Welsh"), original vellum-backed cloth, t.e.g., others uncut, the second with slight spotting to upper cover and glacine wrapper (frayed) and slip-case, 4to, New York, Chilmark Press and London, Clover Hill Editions, both printed by the Rampant Lions Press of Cambridge § Jones (David) In Parenthesis, first edition, third impression, inscribed by the author "For Alun from David July 1954" with two corrections concerning the text on front free endpaper (and in text), endpapers spotted, original cloth, dust-jacket (price-clipped as issued), a little rubbed and soiled, 1938; The Fatigue, number 114 of 298 copies, this one of 241 subscribers' copies , for Lilian & Alun Oldfield-Davies, original wrappers, printed by the Rampant Lions Press of Cambridge, 1965; and 3 others by or illustrated by Jones, 4to & 8vo (7) *** The inscription in the first reads, "i Alun a Lilian dymuniadau gorau yn awr a phob amser Dafydd. Pumed o Fis Ebrill 1967" (...with best wishes for all time, David. Fifth of April 1967). Alun Oldfield-Davies (1905-1988), broadcaster and public servant, controller of BBC Wales 1945-67; he and his wife, Lilian, were close friends of David Jones
