Nuremberg Trials. A small group of ephemera relating to S. John Peskett and his appearance at the Nuremberg Trials, 1945, including the original telegram authorising and inviting him to visit Nuremberg on or about 27 March 1946 for a period of two days for the purpose of attending the trials of leading war criminals, a few marks and creases, original stamps and manuscript additions, a printed IMT billetting note completed in manuscript and dated 26th March [1946] giving Peskett accommodation at the Grand Hotel, Peskett’s IMT visitor’s pass (No. 47144), completed in manuscript, typewriting and pencil, pencil signed by Peskett to verso, Peskett’s visitors’ gallery ticket for seat number 17 session 177 with his pencil signature at upper margin, three later typed letters signed from Peskett, two addressed to Michael Forman, and a copy of his book ‘Strange Intelligence from Dunkirk to Nuremberg’, 1981, with signed presentation for Michael Forman dated June 1985 to front free endpaper, original cloth in dust jacket, 8vo, plus a few related photocopies and supporting papers relating to Peskett including a printed extract ‘Forty Years On - Looking Back at Nuremberg’, taken from the journal History, February 1987, signed by Peskett and presented to Michael and Doreen Forman, all (except book) presented in 8 poly sleeves in a modern ring binder.
