Sir Osbert Sitwell invited John Piper in autumn, 1947, to do some paintings of his Italian home Montegofoni, for his autobiography, four of which were used to illustrate Great Morning and Laughter in the Next Room, Boston: Little, Brown, 1948; PRAZ, Mario.
