Offered for sale is a 3.4L 1985 BMW 635 CSi automatic that has been with the current owner for the last year. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 100 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: The elegant E24 BMW 6 Series coupé was produced/sold by German automaker Bavarian Motor Works (BMW) from 1976 to 1988. In 1982 the E24 changed slightly in appearance, with an improved interior and slightly modified exterior. At the same time, the 635CSi received a new engine, a slightly smaller-bored and longer-stroked 3430cc six to replace the former 3453cc engine and became available with a wide-ratio 5-speed manual or an automatic. Presented here is a 1985 model originally supplied to Park Lane BMW, with only 79,511 miles from new. Coming with an MOT until Dec '15, having flown through the test, with only two very minor advisory points. Having spent some time sat-up and unused (hence the low mileage), this car was re-commissioned by a BMW technician to be used and enjoyed fully. Owned currently by an exacting enthusiast, this car is striking in the rare colour of Alpine white with the contrasting black leather interior. Said to drive very well by the owner, this car has always been well-maintained. It was treated to a full 'health-check' with a mechanic just 100 miles ago, where a bill for only £271 was required for some auxiliaries. These 6 Series CSi's are now being considered as very usable modern classics, with an overall design and build quality that is really appreciated.
