Book 22 occ. sl. foxed/ browned and vague waterst. in outer blank margin at the end; book 24 partly wormholed in lower blank margin, touching the text in a few lvs, and partly waterst. in corner. Both vols. vellum soiled/ stained and other imperfections. First editions of two of the last books, added to the Amadis de Gaule series at the beginning of the 17th century. Please note the remarkable difference in thickness of the bookblocks between these vols. and those of the preceding lot, containing books 22, 23 and 24. See also lots 350-351 in this auction.
