As usual without the lvs. of sheet music at the end. Title remargined at lower edge, traces of crudely removed library stamp on the page following the title; occas. sl. foxed. Lacks free endpapers and ties; spine ends and outer corners worn, foot of spine restored. Good and attractively (and fittingly) bound copy, the volvelle "Quarite et invienetis" in good working order (fitted with the original copper axis). The rare second edition of this beautifully and very richly illustrated work by the Jesuit Jan David (c. 1545-1613). Funck 302; Praz 313. Cf.
