Omega, Seamaster 600 Plo-Prof, a gentleman's oversized stainless steel diver's watch, circa 1975, the over sized one piece asymmetric case with raised black bi-directional bezel calibrated for five minute divisions with red release button, with a patented screw down and locking crown on the left hand side, the blue dial with luminous baton markers, luminous hands with orange minute hand, centre seconds and date aperture, 20 jewel Omega automatic movement cal: 1002 with a mono metallic balance, on a conforming stainless steel brick link bracelet with an Omega folding snap clasp, case 4.5cm long, in a later grey Omega box with outer card packaging The Omega Seamaster 600 was designed for diving to around depths of 600 metres and was used by Jaques Cousteau, leading to collectors unofficially naming the watch after him. Subsequent testing by diving research institutes have suggested that the Plo-Prof ('Plongeur Professionel') is proportionally more resistant to water pressure than a submarine.
