Editio princeps del De venatione, poema in quattro libri sulla caccia redatto da Oppiano da Apamea, e seconda edizione del celebre trattato sulla pesca di Oppiano da Anazarbo, la più significativa opera dell’epica didascalica greca di età imperiale, scritta intorno al 180 d.C. e dedicata all’imperatore Marco Aurelio. I due trattati, sulla pesca e sulla caccia, furono ritenute opere dello stesso autore fino alla fine del Settecento quando lo studioso J. G. Schneider stabilì nella sua edizione delle opere del 1776 che questi due poemi non erano stati composti dallo stesso individuo ma da due persone omonime confuse costantemente nei secoli. Autore della versione latina fu l’umanista senese Lorenzo Lippi Renouard, 81.9; Ahmanson-Murphy, 160. Schneider estabilished in his edition of the works of 1776 that the two works were not be made by the same person but by two different homonyms persons confused constantly over the centuries. Author of the latin edition was the umanist from Siena Lorenzo Lippi Renouard, 81.9;Ahmanson-Murphy, 160.
