Sabalites sp., Priscacara Eocene Green River Formation, Lincoln County, Wyoming Evoking a work of modern art, a fossil palm flower prepared in high relief is seen with three fossil fish specimens. Palm flowers are rare finds for this geologic formation, and this interesting specimen is spectacularly unique in presentation. It appears that the flower, having fallen to the bottom of the prehistoric lake by which it once grew, was scattered by water currents - or perhaps by feeding fishes - providing the unusual presentation revealed by expert lab preparation. Framed in walnut and fitted with a French cleat for wall display. Measures 56 x 38 1/2in
