Workman (old signature on title); REGINALD BLOMFIELD (1856-1942, British architect, pencil signature on front pastedown). FIRST EDITION. Harris 606. With 4 other books, namely Andrea Palladio's The First Book of Architecture (London, 1716, plates, text very heavily browned), Robert Morris's An Essay in Defence of Ancient Architecture; or, a Parallel of the Ancient Buildings with the Modern (London, 1728, plates, lacking frontispiece, upper cover detached), the same author's Yes, they are: being an Answer to Are these Things so? The Previous Question from an Englishman in his Grotto to a Great Man at Court (London, 1740, 13-pages, stitched, Foxon M512) and B. & T. Langley's The Builder's Jewel (London,1751, plates).
