"Simeoni's abridgment of the Metamorphoses begins on leaf a6v, printed in the manner of the 1557 Metamorphose figure , with Bernard Salomon's woodcuts, captions in roman letter, Simeoni's verse legends in italic letter, and ornamental borders throughout. A medallion 'Caos' and fifteen new subjects have been added to the 1557 set, and two substitutions made.
