PAIR OF LARGE THAI GILT BRONZE FIGURES OF PHOENIX AND TWO BRONZE FRAGMENTS OF HEADS, THE PAIR: BANGKOK PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY, The pair cast with stylized plumage standing on circular bases; the heads with serene expression, pendulous earlobes and a flame ushnisha , the first in the Lopburi style with overall gilt, wood plinth; the second in the Sukhothai style, stone plinth; together with two damascened and engraved brass belt boxes and another cast brass example, 18th/19th century, all with hinged covers, and a modern brass figure of an African Kudu The phoenix 38¾in.
