Frontespizio rimontato su braghetta; tracce di polvere alla carta di occhietto e al frontespizio. Restauro a porzione all'angolo superiore esterno bianco delle prime e delle ultime carte. Legatura coeva in cartonato, dorso in pergamena, con titolo impresso in nero su tassello cartaceo. Tagli screziati in rosso. Gore e macchie ai piatti. Alcune annotazioni a matita di mano moderna; coeva l'annotazione in inchiostro bruno al margine della carta Q2r. Al recto della carta di guardia anteriore applicata etichetta cartacea con collocazione tardo ottocentesca 'A 5 (16)'. Prima edizione di questa importante opera di Parmentier (1737-1813) che tratta di ogni aspetto, agricolo e economico, della coltivazione del grano. Il volume è diviso in tre parti, di cui la terza è interamente dedicata alla produzione del pane, ed è corredato di tavole incise che illustrano utensili, mulini idraulici, macine e altre macchine. Pur indirizzato agli Stati Generali della Languedoc, il trattato ebbe diffusione nell'intera Francia, e per la seconda edizione del 1789 fu scelto il titolo Mémoire sur les avantages que le Royaume peut retirer de ses grains. First edition of this important work by Parmentier (1737-1813), dealing with various aspects of grain cultivation and its economics effects. The volume is divided into three parts, the third of which is entirely dedicated to bread-making, and supplemented with engraved plates depicting tools, hydraulic mills, grindstones and other machines. Although Parmentier had specifically addressed his Mémoire to Languedoc General States, the work enjoyed a general and wide popularity in France, and its second edition bears the title Mémoire sur les avantages que le Royaume peut retirer de ses grains.
