Pekhotnoi Stroevoi Ustav . [Infantry Drill Regulations]. St. Petersburg: State War Collegium, 1792. 3 parts in 1 vol., 8° (193 x 123mm). (Mostly marginal staining throughout, occasional spotting, some small marginal holes and wear.) Early wrappers (now detached, spine chipped, lightly soiled, small hole to fore-edge of rear cover). Detailed regulations for infantry drills, ranging from the procedure for moving the colours to instructions for moving along a narrow route while under fire. This edition, printed without a title-page, is based on that issued towards the end of the Seven Years War in 1763, which incorporated the lessons learnt from that conflict. RARE: WorldCat records no copies of this edition in North America. SK 5297.
