Madrid, 1865" oblong folio (205 x 265mm.), manuscript on paper, approximately 130 leaves, with numerous sketches and diagrams (some coloured), the translation halted at the beginning of book 3, contemporary half calf over green cloth, modern marbled calf drop-backed box and slipcase, occasional smudging,hinges repaired A Spanish translation of Girard's Géométrie descriptive (1840) but with a manuscript title-page ascribing it to Madrazo. The signature "Federico Madrazo" appears at the end but in a different hand from the text and not closely resembling the artist Madrazo's signature.
