Place: London Publisher: Hodder & Stoughton Date: [1912] Description: Illustrated by Arthur Rackham including 50 tipped-in color plates, printed tissue guards. (4to) original green cloth pictorially gilt. Reprint of the 1906 edition with additional illustrations added. This copy was awarded as First Prize to John Firebrace in a charity Peter Pan Fancy Dress Party at Christmas 1923, coinciding with the London production. It is signed with an original ink drawing of a long-beaked bird by Arthur Rackham It is also signed by the author James M. Barrie, by the Princesses Beatrice and Mary Louise (the Royal Patrons, daughters of Queen Victoria), by the Marchioness of Milford Haven, by Lynn Harding (Captain Hook), and by George Frampton, the producer of the play. A unique association copy. Lot Amendments Condition: Spine and rear cover sunned, head of spine chipped, front hinge cracked, endpapers foxed; very good. Item number: 246296
