Im Handel für uns zur Zeit nicht nachweisbar. - Graphische Zusammenstellung lat. Inschriften aus Augsburg u. dessen Diözesen. Peutingers bedeutende Universalbibliothek umfasste über 2000 Titel. Der Humanist und kaiserliche Berater verkehrte u.a. mit Erasmus von Rotterdam und war im Jahr 1521 während der Verhandlung der Causa Lutheri anwesend. - Mit Holzschnittwappen Konrad Peutingers in Kopie im erneuerten Innendeckel (Moderantur ipsa et fata leges ac regunt, MDXVI, Chuonradus peutinger augustanus iuristutri usque doctor, vgl. Bartrum 1995, 139.) Mit hss. Besitzvermerk Peuttinger (ca. 18. Jh.) u. gestemp. Exlibris Prof. Dr. Hermann Werner Siemens (1891-1969) auf hinterlegtem Ausschnitt ohne Bildverlust im Titel. - Peutinger klebte das Exlibris nur sporadisch in seine Bücher ein, sodass es in weniger als fünf Prozent des erhaltenen Bestands zu finden ist. Vorzugsweise begegnet es in besonders kostbaren oder besonders wichtigen Werken, stets auf die gleiche Weise sorgfältig koloriert. Der Peutinger, Bayer. Monatsspiegel, Jg. 51, Nr. 11, 2015, S. 18. - Im Vorsatz Signet der Libraria Rappaport, Rom. - Vorsätze erneuert. - Hintere Seiten an den Rändern minimal wasserfleckig. Insgesamt sehr frisches, kaum stockfleckiges Exemplar.
Boards from 19th century with gold embossed RShield (front cover loosened, slightly rubbed). - Not in the book market as far as detectable. - Graphic compilation of Latin inscriptions from Augsburg and its dioceses. Peutinger's important universal library contained over 2000 titles. The humanist and advisor to the emperor was in contact with Erasmus of Rotterdam, among others, and was present during the hearing of the Causa Lutheri in 1521. - With woodcut coat of arms of Konrad Peutinger in copy in the renewed inner cover (Moderantur ipsa et fata leges ac regunt, MDXVI, Chuonradus peutinger augustanus iuristutri usque doctor, cf. Bartrum 1995, 139.) With handwrotten ownership entry Peuttinger (c. 18th century) and stamped ex-libris Prof. Dr. Hermann Werner Siemens (1891-1969) on backed cut-out without loss of image in title. - Peutinger inserted the ex-libris into his books only sporadically, so that it can be found in less than five percent of the preserved inventory. Preferably it is found in particularly valuable or important works, always carefully colored in the same way. The Peutinger, Bayer. Overall very fresh, hardly foxed copy.
