A TRIP OF INVESTIGATION OF THE RESOURCES OF TEXAS AND LOUISIANA ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC LINES, MADE BY THE REPRESENTATIVE BUSINESS MEN AND IMMIGRATION AGENTS OF OHIO. SHOWING VIEWS OF THE PRINCIPAL POINTS OF INTEREST VISITED BY THE PARTY. GIVEN UNDER THE AUSPICES OF MOLING BROTHERS, STATE IMMIGRATION AGENTS, SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, COLUMBUS, OHIO. Columbus: Photos by Baker Art Gallery, (1902). 10 3/4 by 7 1/4 inch oblong pebbled leather photo album with gilt printed, "Texas/Ohio" design to upper cover. A rare production apparently unrecorded -- includes 49 original photographs, averaging 4 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches, mostly captioned in white "in the image." Subjects and locations include: New Orleans; Houston (Carrie Nation in photo); Galveston; Goliad (train station); Bay City (cotton gin); Edna (cotton field); Port Luvaca; Victoria; Corpus Christi; Beehive; San Antonio; Old Mission; Eagle Lake (cutting cane/sugar mill), etc. Condition: Slight scuffing to the leather covers; internally Fine condition with the vintage photographs crisp, sharp, and with strong, rich tones.
