Polymetis, or an Enquiry concerning the Agreement between the Works of the Roman Poets and the Remains of the Antient Artists, 2nd edition, corrected by the author, 1755, engraved portrait frontispiece, 41 engraved plates, including several folding, title with some offsetting from frontispiece, generally wide margins, early ownership label of Mr: Guise to front pastedown, contemporary calf, gilt decorated spine, heavily rubbed and somewhat worn, with joints cracked, folio, together with Montfaucon (Bernard de) . Antiquity Explained, and represented in Sculptures, translated into English by David Humphreys, volumes 1, 5 & Supplement, volumes 3-4 bound in one, 1721-22, numerous engraved plates, contemporary panelled calf, heavily rubbed and somewhat worn with joints cracked, folio (4)
