Portfolio Bauhaus-Drucke, Neue Europaeische Graphik, Fünfte Mappe - Deutsche Künstler (W. 5.1-13) the complete portfolio comprising 13 etchings, drypoints, lithographs and woodcuts, 1913-22, with the lithographic title page, justification and table of contents, on various papers, each signed in pencil (except the print by Kirchner which bears the purple signature stamp), some prints dated, the portfolio numbered in black ink on the inside of the backboard, copy number 22, from the standard edition of one hundred (there was also a deluxe edition of ten with the prints on Japon ), printed by and published for the Staatliches Bauhaus in Weimar by Müller & Co., Potsdam, 1921-23, some sheets with the blindstamp of the Staatliches Bauhaus (L. 2558 b), the full sheets, loose (as issued), each within a paper mount, the title and justification pages with pale time staining, the print by Heckel with a central printer's crease and occasional foxing in the margins, the print by Scharff with creasing at the upper sheet corners, otherwise all in very good condition, within the original portfolio with the design by Josef Albers printed on the boards, with the title printed on the vellum spine, the portfolio slightly rubbed and worn, mainly at the extremities, generally in good condition 580 x 460 mm.
